Michael Holly is an artist and researcher from North Kerry. His experimental film, Cairn G, is set inside a Neolithic passage tomb in the northwest of Ireland. In the days around the summer solstice each year, the light of the setting sun enters the burial chamber of Cairn G. Locals traditionally climb the mountain at Carrowkeel to the tomb to witness the event, and in recent years it has also attracted curious visitors from far and wide. People take turns to enter the tiny burial chamber to experience the phenomenon, each in their own way.
